Gauri Khan meets Malaika Arora and her family after her stepfather’s death.

Gauri Khan visited Malaika Arora on Thursday to offer her condolences on her stepfather Anil Mehta’s death.

Shah Rukh Khan’s wife Gauri Khan visited Malaika Arora and her family after Anil Mehta’s death. Anil Mehta, who was Malaika and Amrita’s stepfather, passed away on Wednesday. Initial reports suggest he died by suicide but the police is still investigating his death. His funeral took place on Thursday afternoon. Although Gauri and Shah Rukh couldn’t make it to the funeral, Gauri was seen visiting Malaika’s parents’ home shortly after.

In a video shared on Instagram, Gauri rushed past the cameras and made her way to meet Malaika. She was joined by Bhavna Panday. She was greeted by Arbaaz Khan. Gauri has been friends with Malaika for several years now. Shah Rukh has also worked with Malaika on several projects.

Malaika and Amrita have been getting all the support from their close friends in the industry. Arbaaz Khan, Kareena Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor have not left Malaika’s side since the news of her father’s death was revealed. Arbaaz was one of the first people to reach Malaika’s parents’ home on Wednesday following his death. Kareena and Saif also rushed to be by her side once police’s initial investigation concluded.

Several members of the Khan family — including Salim Khan, Salma Khan, Sohail Khan, and Arpita Khan Sharma — also visited the Aroras. Ananya Panday, Chunky Panday and Kajol were also seen visiting the family.

Malaika issued a statement on social media on Wednesday night, paying a tribute to Anil Mehta. “We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our dear father, Anil Mehta. He was a gentle soul, a devoted grandfather, a loving husband, and our best friend. Our family is in deep shock by this loss, and we kindly request privacy from the media and well-wishers during this difficult time. We appreciate your understanding, support, and respect,” read the statement.
