Rapper Dharmesh Parmar aka MC Tod Phoad of Ranveer Singh starrer ‘Gully Boy’ fame has passed away. He was just 24 years old. Dharmesh died of a heart attack. Dharmesh’s mother told that Dharmesh had faced the risk of heart attack twice in the last four months. Unfortunately this time he did not survive. During a conversation with Dainik Bhaskar, Dharmesh’s mother recalled her son and said, “The lamp of my house has been extinguished forever.”
Dharmesh went for a Holi event in Nashik
My son had gone for a Holi event in Nashik. The day after (March 20) got a call from his friend and he told that Dharmesh has passed away. We didn’t believe it at first. But then it turns out that this is true. That day my son got dizzy while playing football and he fell on the ground itself. His friends immediately pressed his chest, but he did not regain consciousness. Three people were picking him up and taking him to the hospital. But there was no hospital nearby. My son died there. Dharmesh’s father brought his body from Nashik to Mumbai yesterday (March 21) and we performed his last rites today (March 22).
His call was not reaching in Nashik
He was working hard for the last several days for this event in Nashik. He was very excited for this Holi event. When he reached Nashik, we tried to contact him, but his mobile network was not working. This was not the first time that Dharmesh’s phone had a network problem. This time also we felt that he would be safe and sound.
Had heart attacks twice in four months
Earlier Dharmesh had suffered 2 heart attacks. About 4 months ago he went to Ladakh with his friends. There he first had a heart attack. However, he hid this from us. We came to know about Ladakh after a few months back when we had a heart attack again at home. We also had her heart surgery done. But, he does not rest at all, just was passionate about rap. He loved music more than life. This time my baby got out of my hands and I could not do anything.
Just a day before Holi, sisters had tied rakhi on their wrists.
Perhaps he had realized that he would not return again, so a day before Holi, he went with his sisters to celebrate the festival of Rakshabandhan. Dharmesh has two younger sisters. Don’t know what thought came in his mind before going to Nashik that he got his sisters tied rakhi on his wrist. Celebrated Rakshabandhan not only with my real sisters but also with my aunt and aunt’s daughters.
wanted to make a name for himself in bollywood
After singing a song in Ranveer Singh’s Gully Boy, he became more ambitious. He hoped that the way he got a chance to sing in this film, he would sing for other films in the same way. He wanted to make a name for himself in Bollywood. But, his wish remained unfulfilled. After he left my house became dark, the lamp in my house has been extinguished forever. What shall I do. His companions were crying a lot; From where can I get his rapper? Many girls tied rakhi on his wrist before the last rites.
Ranveer Singh and Siddhant Chaturvedi pay tribute
