After the murder of the student in Hardoi, the market remained closed on Friday morning. The crowd that had gathered to pay tribute in the morning vandalised the house of the accused demanding his arrest. Bricks and stones were also thrown. A tense situation has arisen as the matter is between two communities.

Student Yuvraj Singh Chauhan was shot dead on Thursday evening in Mohalla Imam Chowk of Pali Nagar Panchayat. The accused juvenile is absconding after committing the crime. On Friday morning, a message for a condolence meeting was circulated on the local Whatsapp group. In this, people were asked to gather at the Panthwari Devi temple located behind the police station. People started gathering at around nine in the morning.
It is said that around 10:30, some youths started walking with the photo of the dead boy in their hands. They started shouting slogans against the police. Seeing this, the police reached the spot. They tried hard to stop the crowd. During this, some youths dodged the police and started throwing bricks and stones on the shutters of the shops which were closed since morning and reached near the house of the accused boy. They broke the chairs lying there.

Attempt to stage a sit-in at the scene
They tried to stage a dharna at the site of the incident near the under-construction police post. They broke the glass of a four-wheeler. While pelting stones and bricks, a stone hit a young man’s head. ASP Martand Pratap Singh, CO Anuj Mishra reached the spot with a heavy police force. SDM Arunima Shrivastava and CO pacified the protesters by assuring them of quick action. People calmed down after about half an hour.
Case filed against 3 on complaint of uncle
In the case of murder of student Yuvraj Singh, resident of village Ismailpur of Thana Pali area, a named report has been filed against three accused on the complaint of uncle late night. Police teams have been deployed to catch the attackers. Uncle Mahendra Singh has written in the report that five days ago Yuvraj Singh alias Yuvi had a dispute with the boys.

In this, a teenager’s friend called Yuvraj. Threatened him to not look at them again or they would not say anything to him. Yuvi thought that now a compromise has been reached. Now it doesn’t matter. He says that on May 30, at 6 pm, Yuvraj and his friends Omvir Singh and Pranjal Dixit were going towards the under-construction police post. Then the teenager pointed out and said, look, they have come again. After this, two accused teenagers came forward.

While abusing, one of them took out a gun. Meanwhile, a teenager kicked Pranjal, due to which he fell down. Omvir moved forward to lift Pranjal, but the teenager shot Yuvraj in the chest with a gun. He fell down injured. SP Keshavchand Goswami says that a report has been registered on the basis of the complaint. Police teams have been deployed to arrest the accused. It has come to light that the reason behind the incident was a dispute over talking to a girl. The accused will be arrested soon.
