Health department and municipal administration are fully alert in view of the increasing cases of dengue. In this sequence, after getting three dengue patients simultaneously, the administration has declared the Mau Saraiya area of the district as a dengue sensitive area. District Malaria Officer Dr. Anand Singh said that the situation on dengue is under control. In the year 2021 till September 20, 153 cases of dengue were found, while this time till September 20 only 79 cases of dengue have been found. Of these, 59 patients have fully recovered. 20 people are undergoing treatment.

Asha Ranjana Patel and Ekta Sharma of Urban Primary Health Center and Medical Officer in-charge of Cantonment General Hospital, Dr. Siddharth informed the Health Department that a large number of people of Mau Saraiya area are reaching the health center after suffering from fever. The Rapid Response Team of the District Malaria Department along with a team of doctors led by CMO Dr. Nanak Saran, reached the area and launched a special campaign for four days. In this, all the fever-stricken patients of the locality were identified and treated. On behalf of Ayurvedic doctors, decoction, powder, Bata and Giloy and decoction were distributed to the patients of fever.

Alert after getting 18 serious patients
Dr. Anand informed that while working on alert mode for four consecutive days, after surveying 400 houses in the area, spraying of insecticides was done in 300 houses. The Municipal Corporation sprayed insecticides by fogging the drains and other waterlogged areas of the entire area. Dengue larvae were also found in 25 houses. All the available water sources were exhausted. In this massive campaign, blood samples of 18 severe and symptomatic patients in Mau Saraiya area were sent to the Microbiology Department of Motilal Nehru Medical College for dengue testing. Out of these, dengue report of three people has come positive. In view of this, the area has been declared sensitive. So that people be aware.
