Dharmendra was first married to Prakash Kaur when he was only 19 years old. They had four children – Sunny, Bobby, Winner and Ajita. Meanwhile, Dharmendra married Hema Malini in 1980, after which he became the father of two daughters – Isha and Ahana.

Isha broke tradition

According to a media report, Hema Malini’s biography ‘Hema Malini: Beyond the Dream Girl’ states that no one from Hema and her family was allowed entry into Dharmendra’s family home. Dharmendra lives with his first wife and four children in this house. Hema and her daughters cannot go to this house but in 2015 Isha broke this tradition. She was the first member from Hema’s family to enter Dharmendra’s house.

In fact, in 2015, Dharmendra’s brother and Abhay Deol’s father Ajit Deol’s health deteriorated. Isha wanted to meet him because he wanted Ahana and her extremely. Ajit Deol was also not admitted in the hospital that Isha would meet him there. In such a situation, he called his half-brother Sunny Deol. Sunny took Isha home and got Ajit Deol to meet her. During this, Isha also met Dharmendra’s first wife Prakash Kaur for the first time. When Isha touched his feet, he gave Isha a lot of blessings. After this Isha left for her house from there.

In an interview last year, Hema said about Dharmendra’s first family, when I saw Dharam ji for the first time, I thought that he was the person with whom I want to spend my life. I made sure that our marriage does not hurt anyone’s feelings. I stayed away from his first wife and children. I married him but never took him away from his first family.
