Youth preparing for army recruitment gathered in large numbers in the Kalwar area on Wednesday. Here the Delhi-Ajmer highway was jammed. The protesters remained stuck on the highway for more than an hour. There was a 2 km long jam on both sides. The passers-by had to suffer a lot. Later, the police explained the matter to the youth and pacified the matter. The youth said – the central government should take back the scheme.

Protester Ramkesh said- The central government has played with our future. Army is being recruited on contract basis. For years, youths preparing for army recruitment have been cheated. This scheme will not only harm the youth, but may also breach the secrecy and credibility of the Army. In such a situation, the central government should stop this scheme and start the recruitment process as before.

To reduce the load of salary-pension
On June 14, the Central Government has started the ‘Agneepath’ recruitment scheme for the recruitment of large numbers of youth in all the three branches of the Army (Army, Navy and Air Force). Under this scheme, the youth will have to serve in the defense for 4 years. It is believed that the government has taken this step to reduce the budget of salary and pension. In such a situation, with the introduction of the scheme, along with Rajasthan, its opposition has also started across the country.
