There are two murder cases in Badaun district in which there have been nominations, but the police neither caught the accused nor could expose the real killers. While the investigation of the SHO in the murder of the history sheeter is not getting any direction, while the CO in the murder of Dalit and former BDC member is also unable to reach any conclusion. Overall, the police investigation in murder cases is inconclusive.
Events that happened in September
Both the murder cases happened three months back in September. Where the history sheeter Manoj, a resident of Bhawanipur village, was shot dead at a distance of a few steps from the house late on the night of September 14 in the Ughaiti police station area of the district. At the same time, the next day, in Ujani Kotwali area, former BDC member Ramdayal resident was murdered in village buses when he had gone out for a walk in the morning.

In the history-sheeter murder case in Ughati, the family filed a case against 7 members of the family including Chaudhary Saudan Singh, the divisional vice-president of the Bharatiya Kisan Union. After this the Bhakuyu rallied. Protests were also held against the police. Although the officers assured that after a fair investigation, action would be taken, then the farmers became calm.
Whereas in the former BDC murder case, the question arose on the policing that the people who were named in the murder case were booked under the SCST Act earlier also, but action could not be taken. Overall, in both the cases, the police appeared to be surrounded by allegations.
Still giving assurance of investigation
Even after three months, the police is giving assurance of investigation in these cases. CO Ujhani Gajendra Sortiya, who is investigating the former BDC member murder case, says that the investigation of the case is going on, then according to SO Ughaiti Virendra Rana, the investigator of the history-sheeter murder case, the facts related to the case are being collected even after three months.
