It is believed that following these would help one lead a prosperous and happy life.

On the day of the Holika Dahan, cast off evil eye from your house by applying ubtan on your body; then burn the ubtan on the holika. As per the beliefs, it will help getting rid of all the negativity. You can follow the same remedy for your shop, office and other places.

If anyone is under a debt or facing some kind of unwanted fear, then on the day of Holika Dahan, recite the Narasimha Stotra. It is believed to be very beneficial.

If you are encountering any issues or obstacles on your job, then burn a coconut on the night of Holika Dahan. It will get rid of any problem you are going through at work.

If you or anyone you know is suffering from a disease for a while now, then after Holika Dahan, spread the ashes on the patient’s bed, or wherever they sleep. It is believed that this remedy will prove to be beneficial for them.

If you feel that you are spending unnecessary money on things, then collect the ashes from the burnt Holika, and tie it in a red handkerchief. Put that handkerchief where you store your money, it will halt all your unnecessary expenses.

On the midnight of Holika Dahan at 12, light a ghee lamp, keep it under a peepal tree and go around it 7 times. According to the beliefs, it will rid you of any obstacles you are facing in your life
