Union Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan has made a big announcement in honor of the Corona Warriors working in the front line against the Corona epidemic in the country. The Health Minister has said that 5 seats of MBBS / BDS will be reserved for the children of Corona Warriors in the academic year 2020-21. These corona warriors include ASHA workers working on the ground and doctors or nurses working in hospitals, he said. 5 seats have been reserved for their children in the national quota.

Selection will be done on the basis of rank of NEET 2020
The Health Minister also said that the move is intended to honor the Corona Warriors contribution to the treatment and management of Corona-positive patients. The Minister said that the State / Union Territory Government will certify eligibility for this category. The selection of the students will be done on the basis of the rank obtained in NEET 2020 conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) through the online application portal of MCC.

Under this initiative, the Ministry of Health has approved a new category for selection and admission of ‘Ward of Covid Warriors’ candidates under MBBS / BDS seats for the session 2020-21. The Health Minister said that it is our commitment to all the Corona Warriors who have served the country in this difficult time without any selfishness. During this, the Union Minister said that by wearing face masks of good quality, taking care of social distancing and hand cleaning, you can protect yourself and inspire others.
