The MPPSC application window is open until November 27.
The State Government approved the new contract policy in July.
Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) is a state-level service examination conducted annually to recruit State Provincial Civil Service (PCS) officers. A total of 227 vacancies were to be filled through the MPPSC State Service Examination (SSE) 2023. It will recruit for the posts of State Administrative Services Deputy District President, Cooperative Inspector/ Extension Officer, Chief Municipal Officer, District Registrar, Development Block Officer, and other posts in various MPPSC departments. MPPSC has once again opened the window for the State Service Preliminary Examination 2023. However, the window is open only for selected candidates who are less than 10 in number.
The Madhya Pradesh government announced a new contract policy just before the declaration of assembly elections. Based on this, a few candidates asked for relaxation in the age limit in the PCS exam. For this, candidates approached the court as well, which granted them interim relief and MPPSC had to open the window again.
Who can apply in this short window again?
Applications for Provincial Civil Service (PCS) State Service Preliminary Examination and Forest Service Preliminary Examination 2023 can be made till November 27, 2023. Candidates can also apply through the court. The State Government approved the new contract policy in July. Various changes were made in the service conditions of the employees working on the contract. As per a provision contractual workers will be given age relaxation in the recruitment which will be equivalent to the regular posts.
There will be three stages — Prelims, Mains, and Interview — in MPPSC recruitment. Along with this, the candidates can also check MPPSC exam dates, eligibility, etc in the MPPSC 2023 notification PDF.
When contractual workers did not get age relaxation in the posts announced in MPPSC 2023, candidates reached the court. After hearing the petition, the court gave interim relief and ordered the inclusion of the candidates in the recruitment process. According to PSC OSD Ravindra Panchbhai, only those candidates who got interim relief by filing a court case will be able to start the application through the link.
