3 years ago in Mainpuri, a woman was burnt to death by her husband and in-laws for dowry. The court convicted all three of the murders and sentenced them to 10 years in prison.

The court of Additional District Judge III Meena Singh has also imposed a fine of three thousand rupees along with 10 years imprisonment. All the three convicts have been sent to jail after their sentencing.

The matter is related to Chanderpur Boji village of Kurra police station area. Dharmendra Kumar’s wife Sandhya died of burns on 19 September 2019. Rajesh Kumar, a resident of Thana Kishni area, married daughter Sandhya to Dharmendra Kumar on February 2015.

Married’s father was accused of murder

After Sandhya’s burning death, Sandhya’s father Rajesh had filed a case against husband Dharmendra, father-in-law Ramakishan, mother-in-law Narayanshree, Jeth Jitendra and Nem Singh, alleging that Sandhya was burnt to death demanding additional dowry. In the investigation of the police, proving the innocence of the brothers-in-law, filed a charge sheet against the husband-in-law in the court.

The trial of the case went on in the court of the Additional District Judge. Keeping in view the witnesses and evidence, the court found the three accused guilty of burning Sandhya to death. ADGC Pushpendra Dubey, Vipin Kumar Chaturvedi argued for strict punishment to all three.

Husband stunned after hearing punishment

Sandhya’s husband Dharmendra became unconscious as soon as Sandhya’s guilty husband was sentenced in the court of Additional District Judge on Friday evening. Unconscious Dharmendra’s parents started crying in court. The policemen have sent all three to jail.
