The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has issued an advisory on the official website giving a stern warning to the candidates sending threatening emails to the examination centers. In the ongoing advisory, the institute said that strict legal action will be taken against the candidates for such action.

Legal action given warning

The ICAI also said that threatening emails have been sent to the examination centers on behalf of some candidates appearing for the CA examination to be held in November. Taking this seriously, the Institute considered this wrong act of the candidates to be an obstacle in the examination process. In such a situation, action has been initiated under the law against the candidates who do such activity. The institute has also created a Google Forum to address the problems of candidates.

Institute asked for information on candidates

Acting on the candidates sending threatening emails to the examination center, the institute has instructed the examination centers to inform the institute of such cases and also give the names, registration numbers of such candidates. If any candidate sends any threatening mail to the examination centers, it will be taken seriously and the institute will not hesitate to take action for such daring. Therefore, the candidates are advised to refrain from doing this type of daring in their own interest.
