Police are visiting markets and localities and telling people ways to celebrate Diwali safely.

The festival of Diwali is being celebrated with great pomp in Lucknow. People have started burning crackers since Dhanteras. People burst crackers in large quantities on Diwali on Thursday. Regarding this, police and fire department have issued advisory to ensure that the happiness of Diwali does not turn into mourning.

Use safe and eco-friendly firecrackers

The demand for firecrackers that produce less noise and light has increased in the markets.

CFO Mangesh Kumar said that people should burn firecrackers safely during Diwali. Also use eco-friendly firecrackers. Keep the kids away and enjoy the fireworks outdoors. Police patrolling, strict security arrangements

The police are sensitive and continuously patrolling the markets.

DCP Central Raveena Tyagi said that strict security arrangements have been made in view of Diwali. Fire engines have also been deployed in the firecracker market and surrounding areas. Besides, patrolling is being done in sensitive areas with additional police force. All the COs are patrolling their area along with the station in-charge. All police personnel have been instructed to attend every small incident. So that it does not become the cause of any major incident.

Keep these things in mind while burning crackers

Do not wear loose clothes, do not allow children to burn crackers alone.
Be sure to keep two buckets of water at the place of fireworks.
Do not burn firecrackers indoors but burn them in open places.
Burn crackers carefully around slums.
Wear slippers or shoes while burning crackers.
While lighting the candle, take care that there is no flammable material around it.
During Diwali puja, do not keep any cloth or plastic foil around while lighting lamp, incense and performing havan in the puja room.
Keep your face away while burning crackers. In case of burning, sprinkle water and contact a doctor.
Do not burn crackers near electrical wires. If a firecracker is taking too long to burn, do not light it again.
In case of eye injury during fireworks, clean them with water continuously for 15 minutes.
