Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras) has released the JEE Advanced Result 2024. Ved Lahoti of Indore has topped the exam. He has got 355 marks out of 360. Through this exam, you can take admission in engineering courses in the top IITs of the country after 12th. To appear for JEE Advanced, it is necessary to qualify the first stage of the exam i.e. JEE Mains. JEE Mains is conducted by the National Testing Agency in online mode.

1. Indian Institute of Technology, Madras (IIT-M)
IIT Madras has 15 departments for studying different branches of engineering. These include Aerospace Engineering, Biotechnology, Civil Engineering, Engineering Design, Ocean Engineering and Physics as well as the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences.

Courses : In all these departments, you can do a four-year BTech, a two-year MSc in Physics, Chemistry and Maths and a two-year MA course in Humanities. Apart from this, you can also take admission in a two-year MBA course from the Management Department. You can also take admission in online MTech programs in some courses like Automotive Technology, Mathematical Method for Aerospace Engineers.

2. Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi (IIT-D)
IIT-D has 6 schools, 16 departments and 11 specialized centers. These include departments like Chemical Engineering, Energy Science and Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering and Textile and Fiber Engineering.

Apart from this, there are separate departments for biological science, public policy and artificial intelligence. At the same time, specially dedicated centers have been created for subjects like atmospheric science, educational technology, rural development, optics.

IIT Bombay has 16 departments related to engineering and technology. Apart from this, there are 3 schools and 40 research centers related to management, design and entrepreneurship. These research centers offer academic degree, diploma and certificate programs.

Courses : One can pursue courses like BTech, MSc MDes, MBA, MS (Research), and Masters in Development Practice in these departments from IIT-B.

4. Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur (IIT-K)
IIT Kanpur has 11 departments like Electrical Engineering, Management Sciences, Mechanical Engineering. The institute also has 8 different departments for Humanities, Economics, Science. Apart from this, there are also 5 dedicated centers like Nuclear Engineering, Photonics, Space, Planetary and Astronomical Sciences.

Courses : In these departments, you can take admission in programs like BTech+MTech dual degree, MSc, MBA, MDes, MTech. Apart from this, you can also take admission in PhD program. Apart from this, you can also apply for eMasters program without GATE score.

5. Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur (IIT-K)
IIT Kharagpur has 19 departments, 8 centers and schools of Engineering, Architecture, School of Law, Management, Science, Biotechnology, Humanities and more than 25 research units. You can also take admission in subjects of School of Law, Management and Science stream from IIT-K.

Courses : You can do MTech in courses like Aerospace Engineering, Embedded Control and Software, Food Process Engineering, City Planning, Multimedia Information Processing. Apart from this, you can also do MBA from Management Department.

IIT Roorkee has more than 23 different departments. These include departments like Applied Mathematics and Scientific Computing, Biosciences and Bioengineering, Earthquake Engineering, Hydrology.

Courses : You can do courses like BTech, MTech VLSI for Industry Professionals, MSc, Executive MBA from these departments in the institute.

How to get admission: Admission in BTech courses can be taken on the basis of JEE Advanced score. In MTech and MSc courses, one can apply for admission in Masters program on the basis of IIT JAM, GATE, CAT, GMAT score. After counseling on the basis of cut off, the final merit list is prepared on the basis of group discussion and personal interview.

7. Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati (IIT-G)
