Paper process completed
Director of IMS BHU, Prof. SN Sankhwar told that a meeting for MoU is to be held on 22nd November in Delhi for an AIIMS like facility in IMS in the Health Ministry. He told that all its paperwork has been completed. There is a possibility that this time the MOU process will be completed. After this, the facilities for the patients will also increase. He told that our team will leave for Delhi today.
An agreement was made with the ministry in 2018
An MoU was signed between the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Human Resource Development (presently the Ministry of Education) on August 5, 2018 at the KN Uduppa Auditorium of BHU for setting up an AIIMS like facility at IMS BHU. Under this, announcements were made to provide all the facilities like AIIMS in IMS BHU. Six years have passed, some new departments and facilities have been started but many facilities like AIIMS are still not available. This is because the involvement of the Health Ministry in the operation of AIIMS across the country is not that much. Now after the fresh MOU, the participation of the Health Ministry in a facility like AIIMS will be the main thing.
The meeting took place twice in September and could not be resolved.
IMS meeting has been held twice in Delhi in September for MoU on AIIMS like facility in BHU. Even after two rounds of talks, the MoU has not been approved. Now the Director of IMS BHU, Prof. Along with SN Sankhwar, some other senior officers and responsible officials of the university are again going to attend the meeting in Delhi. This time there is discussion that an important decision can be taken.
