- Workers working in this temporary Kovid hospital in Varanasi are disciplined like army soldiers, their spirit is not less than the army.
There is a feeling, where do such opportunities come … Where you will get work, money will be found there, but here our service is most important. We worked day and night and now everything is in front of you. Saying this, 750-bed Pandit Rajan Mishra of Sajid BHU, residing in Pauri Garhwal, Uttarakhand, got involved in giving the final touch to the ward of Block C of Temporary Covid Hospital. The state-of-the-art temporary Kovid Hospital of Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) has been completed at BHU’s Amphitheater ground in Varanasi. After a hard work of 384 hours, this 750-bed hospital is ready.
Chief Minister Yogi has inspected this hospital on Sunday afternoon. Now it will be released in the hands of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a virtual ceremony. Only serious patients will be admitted here. Asked how the 750-bed state-of-the-art hospital was set up in such a short time, DRDO officials said, “We aim to complete the work in the shortest possible time by assessing the work.” Our people work round the clock in three shifts. While working our entire focus remains on quality and timelines. We rely on teamwork, with all these being monitored continuously at different levels. In this way, two beds were prepared in this hospital in one hour.
Sajid, working here, said that about 20 days ago, we had come here from about 500 different places. Now there are hardly 100 people left. We all worked nine-nine, ten-ten hours in each shift. During work we did not care about things like breakfast, food, rest. Not only us but all of us did this. You will not believe, the view here was such that round the hour, look here in the midst of the sound of a scattering, do it right, pay attention here, see there is no shortage… all of this used to be heard. Army officials said that everything has to be prepared soon and the work has to be done so that there is not even a place to put a finger. It is good that people will get facility from this hospital, then some blessings of their family members will also come to our side.
Army officers do OK when everyone checks
Pappu Yadav, who hails from Badaun, said that we have worked with DRDO in different places before. Working with DRDO requires the most attention to timelines and quality. The same thing happened here, you turn around and see…. There will be no shortage of any kind anywhere. Along with our supervisors, army officers also keep an eye on morning, evening and night to see how the work is going.
