Married woman Sabiha Khan, resident of Shama Vihar Colony, Garden No.-3, Sarojini Nagar Police Station area, Lucknow has filed a case against her husband Mohd. Rais, father-in-law Mohd. Haleem, brother-in-law Mohd. Idrish Hashmi, sister-in-law Saleha, Rashida and brother-in-law Shaiji, residents of Riddhi Apartment, Ward No. 1, Mehrauli, Delhi.

According to Sabiha Khan, she was married to Mo. Rais in the year 2010. But it is alleged that her in-laws started taunting her for not having a son even after two years and for bringing less dowry. It is alleged that everyone started torturing her mentally and physically by abusing and beating her on a daily basis.

Sent to Saudi Arabia after marriage

The victim says that her in-laws sent her husband to Saudi Arabia after marriage as part of a conspiracy. After this, the victim gave birth to a son in the year 2018, who has hearing impairment due to mental disability.

It is alleged that after this, her in-laws kept provoking her husband over the phone. Due to which he kept harassing the victim. Sabiha says that on 29 and 30 May-24, her husband beat her badly with sticks and kicks and also threatened to kill her. The victim and her son were pushed out of the house.

The victim informed her parents about this. After this, her parents brought her home on June 3. Since then she is staying at her parents’ house. The Sarojininagar police station in-charge says that the complaint has been received and the report has been registered and the matter is being investigated.
