In a village of Muzaffarnagar, a court sentenced to 4 years imprisonment for attempting to rape a 14-year-old girl student by climbing the wall of her house at midnight. The court also imposed a fine of Rs 5000 on the guilty.
Special Public Prosecutors Dinesh Kumar Sharma and Manmohan Verma told that on June 5, 2018, a 14-year-old 8th class student was sleeping alone in the house during the night in a village under Bhorakalan police station area. Manoj, 23, entered the victim’s house by climbing a wall in the dark of night. Accused Manoj tried to rape the victim. But he made a noise. After which the neighbors woke up and came to the house. Seeing them, the accused Manoj fled away. Special Public Prosecutors Dinesh Kumar Sharma and Manmohan Verma told that the trial of the incident was done by Special POCSO Act Court Judge Sanjeev Kumar Tiwari. Told that the court, after hearing the arguments of both the sides, convicted the accused Manoj on various charges including attempting to rape the teenager. He told that the court sentenced the convict to 4 years imprisonment. A fine of Rs 5000 was also imposed on the guilty.
