Special Judge Paxo Act Pawan Kumar Sharma has convicted the accused Pradeep in the case of seducing and raping a 14-year-old girl during a birthday party in Sultanpur. The court sentenced him to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment and a fine of Rs 50,000.

On October 15, 2020, the mother of the victim teenager had filed a case in Gauriganj Kotwali. According to the allegation, the birthday party of his little girl was going on the night of the incident. During this, the accused Pradeep Kori took the 14-year-old elder daughter with him by seducing them. Accused Pradeep Kori, a resident of Purva village of Pathkhan situated in Gauriganj police station area, used to stay at his maternal grandfather’s place in the same police station area and committed the crime by staying in his village.

FIR was registered after 4 days
The accused kept the victim teenager with him for about nine hours and carried out the rape incident with her. Later took the victim and left her near her house. On reaching the victim’s house, when her mother asked about the place where she had gone missing for so many hours, she narrated the incident. After which the woman informed the police about the incident, but the FIR could not be registered for four days.

Police had filed the charge sheet
After completing their investigation in the case, the police also filed a charge sheet against the accused Pradeep Kori. After this, the trial of the case against the accused went on in the court of Special Judge Paxo Act. After hearing both the sides, Special Judge Pawan Kumar Sharma convicted the accused Pradeep in the case and sentenced him to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment and a fine of Rs 50,000.
