India at UN condemns terrorism, advocates for global peace and democracy | News – Times of India Videos

India has once again condemned terrorism at the United Nations and advocated for global peace, democracy and food security. At the UNSC meet in Yemen, India condemned the attack at Aden airport and raised concern over maritime security. It also pressed for sustainable, comprehensive political settlement and expressed support to Yemen led and owned political processes. India also attended Security Council meeting on UN Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali and committed to support Mali in overcoming the present political and security crisis. India’s external affairs minister Dr. S. Jaishankar in his earlier address at UNSC Open Debate on terrorism presented an 8 point Action Plan to combat terrorism. “It is time that all nations walk the talk and commits their actions to the goal of zero tolerance for terrorism”. India also attended Security Council meeting on the United Nations Office for West Africa and the Sahel. It committed in extending support to the countries of the region in their efforts to bring back peace, stability and normalcy.
