Boxer Alfia Pathan gave India the first gold in the 81+ kg category.
India’s young boxers won the victory in the ongoing 30th Adriatic Pearl tournament in Budva, Montenegro. The Indian team won 7 medals including 2 gold in the tournament. Vinka in 60 kg and T. Sanmacha Chanu in 75 kg weight category won the gold medal. Apart from this, India also won 2 silver and 3 bronze medals on Sunday. Alfia Pathan gave India the first gold in the 81+ kg category.
Geetika had to be satisfied with the silver medal
In Womens, Rohtak’s Vinca beat Moldova’s Kristina Kripper 5–0 in the final. At the same time, Manipur’s Sanmacha defeated Raj Sahiba 5–0 in the title match. In addition, Geetika lost 4–1 in the 48kg category to Uzbekistan’s Farzona Fojilva in the final.
Preeti, Priyanshu and Jugnu won bronze medal
Geetik had to be content with the silver medal. At the same time, Preeti was defeated 4-1 by Bojana Gojkovic of Montenegro in the semifinals of the 57 kg weight category. He won the bronze medal in his name. In the men’s category, Priyanshu Dabas and Jugnu won the bronze medal. Priyanshu was defeated 3–2 by Ishajonov Ibrokhim of Uzbekistan in the semi-finals. At the same time, in the 91+ kg category, Jugnu defeated Ukraine’s Vasil Kachuk 5–0.

In Mens itself, India’s Lucky Rana defeated Gulshoda Istamova of Uzbekistan 3-0 in the 64kg category in the semi-finals. They will face Liya Pukila of Finland in the final. In the women’s 51kg weight category, Babirojisana will take on Sabina Bobokulova of Uzbekistan and Arundhati Chaudhary in 69kg category for the gold medal from Mariana Stokio of Ukraine.
