Women and Child Development Department has prepared Anganwadi radio app for departmental schemes, dissemination of messages and behavior change.

Department of Women and Child Development, Madhya Pradesh has taken a new initiative to solve the problems of women and girls and provide help to them. In this, live broadcast of ‘participatory dialogue’ for departmental officer-employees, Anganwadi workers, Kishori girls and general public is going to start. The program will be telecast on February 8 between 2 pm and 4 pm. This live broadcast will be broadcast on the departmental YouTube channel, Twitter and Facebook page mpwcd and anganwadi radio app.

In the program, information about messages on health, nutrition, safety etc. including departmental schemes will be given by departmental officers and subject experts. During the event any participant can go to the chatbox and ask their questions. On the first Friday and fourth Tuesday of each month, there will be a discussion on the topic related to girls, women empowerment on the second and fourth Thursdays, child protection on the first and fourth Saturdays and integrated child development schemes on the first and fourth Wednesdays.

Broadcast on Anganwadi radio

Keeping in mind the concept of Vocal for Local, the Android app anganwadi.radio has been prepared for the Department of Women and Child Development, departmental schemes, dissemination of messages and behavior change. This on-demand radio app is available on Play Store as anganwadi.radio. From where it can be downloaded to mobile. Probably Madhya Pradesh is the first state in the country, where an on-demand radio app has been developed by a government department using such innovative technology for dissemination of departmental plans, messages and behavior change.
