The Indian team has gone on Australia tour for Border Gavaskar Trophy. The team will start the tour from November 22 with the first Test in Perth. The Indian team has to play a series of 5 test matches there.

Gill was injured while fielding in the slips. Gill suffered a finger injury while fielding in the slips during a match simulation in Perth on Saturday. According to Cricbuzz report, he has a fracture in his thumb and has been ruled out of the first Test. However, no official statement has yet come from BCCI regarding Gill’s injury.
