The last IPL tournament was held in the UAE from 19 September to 10 November. Then in the finals, Mumbai Indians defeated Delhi Capitals to win the title for the 5th time.

The Indian Premier League (IPL) return to India is almost certain between Corona. The tournament was last held in the UAE in September-November. According to BCCI sources, this time the tournament can be held from the second week of April in 5 cities of the country. The cities can be Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Delhi, Bengaluru, Kolkata and Chennai.

The Telangana government is happy that Hyderabad is not named in them. State Industry and IT Minister KT Rama Rao has appealed to the BCCI and IPL Council to also include Hyderabad in the tournament’s venue.

Telangana government gives assurance of cooperation to BCCI
Rama Rao shared the post on social media and said, ‘There is an appeal to BCCI and IPL officials to also include Hyderabad in the venue for this year’s tournament. Currently, in all the metro cities of the country, Hyderabad has the lowest number of cases in Corona. Our government will also extend all support to you.

All play-offs matches are possible in Ahmedabad
According to media reports, earlier BCCI did not include Mumbai in the venue. However, on Saturday, the Maharashtra government allowed the match to be held at the stadium without spectators. After this, the board has also included the name of Mumbai in the venue. According to reports, all the league matches can be held in 5 cities – Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Delhi and Bengaluru. Play-offs can be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

The tournament can start in the second week of April
The 14th season of the IPL can begin from the second week of April. The previous tournament was postponed due to Corona. The 13th season was then held at the UAE from 19 September to 10 November at the end of the year. Then in the final, Mumbai Indians defeated Delhi Capitals to win the title for the 5th time.

Partha Jindal had said – group competition can be held in Mumbai
Recently, Delhi Capitals team co-owner Parth Jindal said, ‘I believe that IPL can be done in two faces in two faces. It is heard that a venue may be Mumbai, as there are 3 grounds (Wankhede, Brabourne and DY Patil Stadium) here. There are also very good facilities for practice. Knockout matches of the league can take place in Motera (Ahmedabad). However, this has not been confirmed yet. This is everything I heard. ‘

There should be matches in most cities for the preparation of T20 World Cup.
Partha had said, ‘I think we should get the IPL done in most cities of the country. Along with this, the world should also give the message that we are also ready for the T20 World Cup to be held in October. I think they (BCCI) are yet to wait. I believe that the board is looking at the current situation of Corona in the country and will take a decision accordingly.
