Incidents of conflicts in public spaces have become increasingly common. Recently, a new video emerged online depicting an altercation between an elderly woman and a group of dancers. The primary issue appeared to stem from differences in ideologies. However, what particularly outraged the viewers was the disrespectful behaviour exhibited by one of the dancers towards the elderly woman
Uploaded on X, the text on the video read, “Desi-Orchestra Kalesh b/w Dadi and a Stage dancer.” In the clip, the elderly woman is visibly enraged. She is seen attempting to strike a female dancer on stage with a stick. However, the woman smiled at her and danced as if she was provoking her. Eventually, bystanders intervened and escorted the elderly woman away from the scene. The exact reason behind the elderly woman’s anger remains unclear.
Since its posting, the footage has sparked outrage among many viewers, who were appalled by the dancer’s blatant disrespect towards the elderly woman.
A person commented, “People need to stop messing with senior citizens. Its not funny and tells a lot about your upbringing.”
Another one said, “This is not joke… totally disrespectful.”
A comment read, “Most Shameful way to behave with an elder. Worse… the way these females showcase themselves and later claim respect!”
Meanwhile, a user joked, “Dadi kya bol Rahi hai lagta hai dadi isko dance sikha Rahi hai. (What is the elderly lady saying? Looks like she is trying to tech dance to them.)”
A few days ago, another incident surfaced online showing an elderly woman fighting and yelling at a couple on the streets of Delhi. The video of the altercation was shared online and quickly went viral.
In the clip, the elderly woman was seen standing in the middle of the road near a car, arguing with a couple. Traffic came to a complete halt and passersby stood by, watching the altercation. People blamed both parties for causing the traffic jam. Moments later, an elderly man entered the scene and intervened. He separated the two and ultimately ended the brawl.
