Due to closure of STP, sewage water will go directly into Ganga through drains.

The operation of 36 MLD Common Effluent Treatment Plant (CETP) located in Jajmau may stop from February 15. The company operating the plant is Ganga Infrabuild Pvt. Ltd. Has asked not to operate if outstanding money is not received.

Jal Nigam took over the operation and maintenance work of CETP from the Municipal Corporation.
