Tamil actor Jayam Ravi spoke on the issue for the first time after the divorce announcement. He termed all the allegations of his wife Aarti as baseless, in which Aarti claimed that she had no knowledge about this divorce.

There were also reports for some time that Jaim was dating singer Kenisha Francis. The actor called this news a rumour and said- don’t unnecessarily involve him in all this.

Jayam said- I was forced to announce the divorce publicly

Jayam had come to support his brother at the audio launch of the film Vettaiyan. Here he broke his silence on the divorce and dating rumours. In a conversation with Hindustan Times, he revealed that Aarti has not responded to the two legal notices sent by him.

He said, ‘Does this behaviour suggest that she wanted to reconcile with me? When I announced the divorce, the legal proceedings were already underway. I was forced to announce the divorce in the public domain because there were a lot of rumours. I am also accountable to my fans.’

‘Preparing to open a healing center with Kenisha Francis’

On rumors of dating Kenisha Francis, Jaime said that he is going to open a spiritual healing center with the singer. Also, it has nothing to do with the divorce.

He said, ‘This reflects badly on me and our family. Has anybody thought about this?’

‘After a while, I started feeling suffocated in the marriage’

Wife Aarti had alleged that she had no knowledge about the divorce. On these allegations, Jayam said, ‘We and both our families had discussed this together. I also talked to Aarti separately in which I told her that this is what I want. I also talked to her father.

After a point, I started feeling suffocated in this marriage. I just left the house with my car. I am a nomad now.

Jaim said- I want a divorce

Jayam further said, ‘I have clearly stated in my statement that everyone should respect our privacy. There is no way to go back from here. I definitely want a divorce. The first hearing of the divorce will be held in October.

Jayam shifted to Mumbai after divorce

Jayam said that after the divorce, he has shifted to Mumbai, but keeps visiting Chennai, where he stays in hotels. He also said that he is taking legal recourse for the custody of both sons Aarav and Ayan.

Jayam said that it is his dream to launch his son Aarav in cinema at the right time. By the way, this father-son duo has been seen in the 2018 film Tik Tik Tik.

When Jayam was asked if he talked to the children about the divorce, the actor said, ‘Yes, I talked to 14-year-old Aarav and told him about the situation. Ayan is only 8 years old and is too young to understand this.’

Who is Jayam Ravi?

Ravi Mohan, also known by his stage name Jayam Ravi, is the son of film editor A Mohan. Ravi started his film career with the film ‘Jayam’. After this he changed his name to Jayam. Jayam Ravi’s elder brother Mohan Raja is a film director, in most of whose films Ravi plays the lead role.
