Union Education Minister Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ will announce the date of JEE Advanced on Thursday, January 7. Along with this, the Union Minister will also give information about the eligibility criterion required for admission to Bachelor’s degree courses in various IITs of the country. In this regard, the Education Minister shared a post on social media that the date of JEE Advanced will be announced at 6 pm.

Date will be released at 6 pm

On this, the Union Education Minister had posted on his social media account on January 4 that he wrote, Dear Students, I will announce the eligibility criterion and JEE Advanced date required for admission to IIT on January 7 at 6 pm. Even before this, the Union Minister has announced the dates of many important examinations through live webinars conducted on social media.

JEE Main will be 4 times

The Union Education Minister had earlier announced the 10th and 12th board exam dates for JEE Main and CBSE. This time JEE Main will be held in 4 sessions from February to May. Registration is going on for the examination to be held in February, which will run till January 16. At the same time, this year the CBSE 10th-12th board examination will be held between May 4 and June 10. Whereas, practical examinations will start from 01 March. The result of the examination will be released till July 15.

CBSE and other boards cut syllabus by 30%

In view of the loss of education due to Corona, the Central and State Boards, including CBSE, have reduced the syllabus of examinations by up to 30 percent. Also, due to the closure of the school and coaching institute, the candidates are also having trouble preparing. In such a situation, the candidates have requested social media through the Director of IIT Delhi as well as the Education Minister to give exemption in the eligibility criterion for admission. Along with this, the students are also requesting exemption in the criterion on the basis of the criterion of 75 per cent marks in class 12 for the JEE Main Examination by the Union Education Minister.
