JEE Advanced Result 2024 released: Ved Lahoti of Indore tops, 25.85% candidates pass

Indian Institute of Technology, Madras (IIT Madras) has released the JEE Advanced Result 2024. Ved Lahoti of Indore has topped the exam. Lahoti of IIT Delhi zone has got 355 marks out of 360. 48,248 candidates passed
This year, a total of 1,80,200 candidates appeared for both Paper 1 and Paper 2 of JEE Advanced. Out of this, a total of 48,248 candidates have cleared the JEE Advanced 2024 exam, out of which 40284 are male candidates and 7964 are female candidates.

Answer key also released along with the result
Along with the result, the final answer key has also been released. Apart from this, the cut-off marks, toppers list and their marks of JEE Advanced will also be released soon.

Counseling will start from June 10
Candidates who have passed the JEE Advanced exam will have to participate in the counseling process for IIT. This counseling process is conducted through Joint Seat Allocation Authority Counseling (JoSAA). JoSAA counseling 2024 will start tomorrow i.e. June 10. This counseling will be completed in 5 rounds between June 10 and July 26.

Total 25.85% candidates passed
This year, a total of 1 lakh 86 thousand 584 students had registered for the JEE Advanced exam. Out of these, 1 lakh 80 thousand 200 had appeared for both the papers. Now, out of these, a total of 48,248 students have been able to pass IIT JEE. This is 25.85% of the total candidates, which is better than last time.

The passing marks for general is 35%
General category candidates need to score at least 35 percent marks to pass IIT JEE Advanced, while OBC and EWS candidates need 31.5% marks. SC-ST candidates need to score 17.5 percent marks.

JEE Advanced will give you admission in the country’s top IITs
Through this exam, you can take admission in engineering courses in the top IITs of the country after 12th. To appear for JEE Advanced, it is necessary to qualify the first stage of the exam i.e. JEE Mains. JEE Mains is conducted by the National Testing Agency in online mode. At the same time, one of the top 7 IITs of the country conducts the JEE Advanced exam every year. These IITs are – IIT Kharagpur, IIT Kanpur, IIT Madras, IIT Delhi, IIT Bombay, IIT Guwahati, IIT Roorkee and IISc Bangalore.

IIT Madras conducted the exam on 26 May
This year, the JEE Advanced exam was conducted by IIT Madras. The exam was held in two shifts on May 26. JEE Advanced Paper 1 was held between 9 am and 12 noon. After this, Paper 2 will be conducted in the second shift between 2:30 pm and 5:30 pm. On the basis of JEE Advanced, one can take admission in BTech, MTech, Integrated Masters and Dual Degree Program in the country’s top IITs.

JEE Advanced Exam Pattern
JEE Advanced exam is conducted in online mode. The exam consists of two papers, Paper 1 and Paper 2. 3 hours are given to solve both the test papers. Both papers contain questions related to Physics, Chemistry and Maths. There are a total of 58 questions in one paper i.e. each section has 18 questions.
