The first session of JEE Main, the country’s largest engineering entrance exam, is starting tomorrow i.e. February 23. For this, centers have been established in 321 and 10 cities abroad. The exam will be between 9 to 12 in the morning and 3 to 6 in the afternoon. There will be examination for admission in BEARC on 23 February and BE-BTech on 24 to 26 February. About 9 lakh 30 thousand students have registered for the exam.

The National Testing Agency has already issued the admit cards for the examination. Candidates can download the admit card through the official website. Like this, like last year, this year also students will have to give an undertaking related to Kavid-19, which will have to give information about Kovid symptoms. Only then can download the admit card.

Self declaration will have to be deposited

Students will have to submit self declaration of Kovid during the examination. Along with the admit card, students will have to take their left hand thumb impression and photo in self declaration format. Students have to sign in front of the examiner in the examination center. Apart from this, one has to reach the examination center at the reporting time given on the admit card.

Scribe will have to be taken along

Reporting time is given separately for each student so that there is no unnecessary rush at the examination centers. The center’s gates will be closed half an hour before the exam starts. With this, a change has been made from this year. Now scribes will not be available at the examination center for differently abled students. They have to take the scribe with them. These students will have to fill the format related to the scribe and take it with them.

This system will be in view of Corona

The NTA has also released the Cavend Guidelines for the exam being held between Corona. According to the guidelines issued, the chair, table, computer, keyboard, mouse etc. will be sanitized before and after the examination. Students will be seated far according to the central government’s guide line, so that students do not come in contact with each other. Social distancing will also have to be followed while exiting the center after the examination.

Keep these things in mind

  • Aadhar card or any id proof, admit card filled with self declaration, transparent pen, photo will have to be brought to the students exam center.
  • In addition, the candidates will have to bring their sanitizer and water bottle.
  • Students will not be allowed to bring any electronic gadgets.
  • Also, thick soles and big buttoned clothes will not be allowed.
  • A three-layer mask will be provided at the center itself, which will be compulsory for the students to wear during exam time.
  • The lab will be allocated through thermal bar at the entry gate and bar code reader given in the admit card.
