President Ramnath Kovid appointed the Chief Justice.

Justice Sanjay Yadav has been appointed as the Chief Justice of the Allahabad High Court. Till now he was serving as Acting Chief Justice. President Ram Nath Kovid on Thursday appointed Justice Sanjay Yadav as the Chief Justice here. A notification to this effect has also been issued by the Union Law Ministry.

According to the notification, this appointment will be effective from the date of taking oath and taking charge. However, his tenure as Chief Justice would be very short. He is retiring on 26 June 2021.

Know who is Justice Sanjay Yadav
Justice Sanjay Yadav born Yadav was born on 26 June 1959. He was registered as an advocate on 25 August 1986. He practiced in civil, revenue and constitutional matters in the Jabalpur High Court. He was also the Deputy Advocate General of Madhya Pradesh.

On March 2, 2007, he was appointed an additional judge of the Madhya Pradesh High Court and became a permanent judge here in January 2010. He was also Acting Chief Justice of Madhya Pradesh High Court twice. Justice Yadav was serving as the acting Chief Justice of the Allahabad High Court since April 14.

Justice Yadav was born on 26 June 1959 and registered as a lawyer on 25 August 1986. He practiced on Civil, Revenue and Constitutional subjects in the Jabalpur High Court of Madhya Pradesh. He was also the Deputy Advocate General of Madhya Pradesh. He became a judge of the Madhya Pradesh High Court on March 2, 2007 and became a permanent judge on January 15, 2010.
