South superstar Kamal Haasan and filmmaker Mani Ratnam are going to work together after 35 years. The title of this film is ‘Thug Life’.

On Monday, the makers shared an announcement video of this. In this video, Kamal is seen doing tremendous action in the get up of a thug.

Apart from Kamal, actors like Trisha Krishnan, Dulquer Salmaan and Jayam Ravi will be seen in the film. It will be released in theaters next year.

If reports are to be believed, this film may have a connection with Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam’s film ‘Nayakan’ which was released 35 years ago.

This is because in the announcement teaser, Kamal has named his character as Rangaraya Shaktivel Naykar. His character’s name in the film ‘Nayakan’ was Shaktivel Naykar.

In this video, Kamal says, ‘It seems as if at the time of my birth they had written on my forehead that Shaktivel Naykar is a criminal, a goon, a Yakuza.’ After this, Kamal kills 5 people who came to kill him.

Kamal has also produced this film in collaboration with Mani Ratnam. The music will be by AR Rahman and the editing of the film will be done by Shrikar Prasad. The film may be released in theaters next year.
