In an interview to Dainik Bhaskar, Kamya Punjabi says, ‘Nowadays is the era of social media. Unfortunately, most makers do casting based on how many social media followers an actor has. How good an actor is in the industry, how well he works, these things do not matter to the makers. This is wrong. The truth is that these young artists who have millions of followers cannot even speak a 10-line dialogue. I find this very funny.’

He further said, ‘The focus of many young artists is not on good acting but only on increasing their followers on social media. Their focus is only on making and posting reels on trending songs.’

When I see such an atmosphere on the set, I feel like laughing

Giving an example, the actress further said, ‘In my previous show, I had a co-actor who had to attend a wedding. I noticed that her focus was not on enjoying the wedding at all. Rather, she was stressed about making 6 reels. I was shocked to see this. Today’s young generation does not enjoy the moment. When I see such an atmosphere on the set, I feel like laughing. At the same time, I also feel pity for such people.’
