Shifted to patients

Principal Secretary Alok Kumar said that only 15 minutes after the fire, the process of shifting patients to safe place was started. Patients who were not very serious were shifted to the New OPD Building and those who were serious have been shifted to the Neuro Department of GSVM Medical College with immediate effect. He said that due to the readiness of the hospital administration and fire department, we have not lost any lives and all are safe.

40-bed hospital built, 150-bed hospital

2 patients killed, 147 patient resuscitated

In fact, a fire broke out on the first floor of the Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases on Sunday morning. ICU and General Ward are on this floor. At the time of the accident, 9 patients were being treated in the ICU and 140 in the General Ward. During the rescue, 2 General Ward patients, Imam Ali and Tekchandra, died. The remaining 147 patients from both wards were shifted to another building. Commissioner Dr. Rajasekhar says that these deaths were not the cause of the accident. Rajasekhar said, ‘As I am getting information. One casualty had been done at 6.55 am before the accident and the second casualty had occurred at 9:21. This patient had a heart problem and was given a pacemaker. The matter is still being investigated. The correct information will be given only after the investigation report is received. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has sought a report from the concerned officers about the fire in the hospital.
