Karan Johar announced the mega budget historical drama film Takht in the year 2020, but the film has been shelved. Now there are reports that 2 more films of Karan Johar have been shelved. The first of these is The Bull, in which Salman Khan was to be seen in the lead role, while the second film was a war based untitled film starring Kartik Aaryan. There were differences between Karan Johar and Kartik Aaryan due to the casting of Dostana 2, which Karan Johar compensated with another film, but now that film has also been shelved.
In a recent Bollywood Hungama report, citing a source close to the production house, it has been told that Karan Johar and Ekta Kapoor had cast Kartik Aaryan in the film War. This film was going to be based on war and patriotism. Karan Johar’s previous film of the same genre, Yoddha, could not do anything special. Seeing the market interest, Karan Johar has decided to stop the upcoming film to be made on War. Sandeep Modi was going to direct this film.
In the year 2019, Karan Johar announced the film Dostana 2 with Kartik Aaryan. Kartik Aaryan, Lakshya and Janhvi Kapoor were going to be in the lead roles in this film, however, due to creative differences, Karan Johar removed Kartik Aaryan from the film. There were differences between the two when the casting was changed. Karan Johar also claimed that Dharma Productions will never do any film with Kartik Aaryan again.
However, last year Karan Johar put an end to the differences and cast him in the film War. However, now that film has also been shelved.
Salman Khan’s The Bull also closed
Karan Johar was making the film The Bull under the direction of Vishnu Vardhan. Salman Khan was playing the lead role in this paramilitary film. Now if sources are to be believed, this film is also on the verge of being closed. Actually, Salman Khan had asked Karan Johar for time till July for his busy shooting schedule. However, now he has decided to start the films of Sajid Nadiadwala and AR Murugadoss. Salman Khan is currently shooting for Sikandar, after which he will start shooting for another film from May.
Due to his busy schedule, Salman Khan has now decided to leave The Bull. He has backed out from the film saying that he will be a part of Karan Johar’s future project. The film may be shelved if Salman Khan leaves.
