Amitabh Bachchan presented a Maths question worth Rs 5,000 to Kirti and the contestant’s immediate response left him impressed.
Amitabh Bachchan’s stint on Kaun Banega Crorepati 16 comes with truckloads of emotions, revelations and dose of laughter. Often interacting with contestants while also divulging secrets about his childhood and personal life, the actor, in the recent episode, was seen revealing the marks he scored in Maths in childhood. Bachchan was speaking to a contestant named Kirti, who is a banker by profession when he let slip his Maths scores.
It all began when Amitabh Bachchan presented a question worth Rs 5,000 to Kirti. Her instant response to the question prompted Big B to praise her saying, “Bank mei kaam karti hai devi ji aur math mei bahut aval hona padhta hai. Jhat se jawab de dia (She works in a bank and so her math has to be good. She gave the reply instantly).”
The conversation continued as Kirti revealed that she did not score above 40 in the particular subject. A surprised Bachchan, then, went on to share the marks he obtained in Maths. The actor says, “I scored 42,” to which Kirti immediately replied, “You’ve scored more than me.”
This is not the first time that Amitabh Bachchan reflected on his educational qualifications on the sets of KBC 16. Earlier, he divulged obtaining very poor marks in BSc, adding that he found Science difficult during his graduation days. “BSc kar liya hum bhi bina jaane ki kya hota Bsc. Science main ache number aaye toh hum apply kardiye. 10 saal main humne seekha tha science main scope hai woh 45 minutes main khatam kardiya (I did BSc. without knowing what it was. I scored well in Science and hence applied for it. I had always heard that there is scope in science. In just 45 minutes it changed everything).”
Further adding, Big B shared, “Pehli baar jab gaye toh fail hogaye… Firse jaakar diya jawaab toh badhi mushkil se 42 percent aaya humara. Bach gaye (First time I failed. Then when I attempted with great difficulty I scored 42 per cent).”
Meanwhile, Amitabh Bachchan is set to welcome three gold medalists from the Paris 2024 Paralympics: Avani Lekhara, Navdeep Singh, and Sumit Antil in the upcoming episodes of the show. It is scheduled to air on October 4.
