India has made a strong position on the fourth day of the second Test against Bangladesh. Due to rain only 35 overs could be played in 3 days. On the fourth day, Bangladesh scored 233 runs, after which India declared the innings by scoring 285 runs in 34.4 overs. Then Bangladesh also took 2 wickets in the second innings.

1. Mominul Haq left in DRS In the 46th over, Mominul Haq was caught out by the umpire on the first ball of Mohammad Siraj. Mominul tried to defend on the back of length ball, but the ball hit him and went into the hands of Yashasvi Jaiswal standing at short leg.

India appealed and the umpire gave the decision of out. Mominul took a review, replays showed that the ball almost hit Mominul’s pads. Therefore the umpire had to change his decision.

2. Rohit caught a flying catch with one hand Their fifth wicket fell in the 50th over of the Bangladeshi innings. Rohit Sharma jumped in the air at mid-off and took a brilliant catch with one hand. Siraj bowled the fourth ball of the over on good length, Liton went forward to play a big shot. But at mid-off, Rohit jumped in the air and took an excellent catch. Liton scored 13 runs.

3. Siraj took an excellent high catch Ravichandran Ashwin gave a shock to Bangladesh in his very first over. In the 56th over of the innings, he got Shakib Al Hasan caught by Mohammad Siraj. Shakib was out after scoring 9 runs.

4. Mominul got 2 lives in 2 overs. Before completing the century, Mominul Haq got two chances to score 94 and 95 runs. In the 64th over, Mominul cut on Ashwin’s good length ball, the ball went towards Pant, but he could not catch it. In the next over, Virat Kohli dropped a catch in the slip on Siraj’s ball.

5. Bumrah sent off Mehdi Jasprit Bumrah was bowling against Mehdi Hasan in the 70th over. Mehdi hit two fours on the first and second balls of the over. Bumrah got him slip caught on the third ball and sent him to the pavilion. Bumrah then clapped and showed Mehdi the way to the pavilion. He played an inning of 20 runs.

6. Rohit started by hitting 2 sixes. After bowling out Bangladesh for 233 runs, India got a fast start from Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rohit Sharma. Yashasvi hit 3 fours in the first over against Hasan Mahmood. Rohit then hit 2 sixes on the first 2 balls of the second over against Khaled Ahmed. 17 runs were scored in this over.

7. Rohit saved in DRS, bowled on next ball Rohit Sharma got life in the third over itself. He was caught behind on Hasan Mahmood’s first ball, but Bangladesh did not appeal and Rohit survived. Rohit hit a six on the very next ball. Then in the fourth over, Mehdi Hasan Miraj made Rohit LBW on the fourth ball.

Rohit took review, replays showed that the ball was going missing the stumps. Therefore Rohit remained not out, but Mehdi bowled him on the very next ball. Rohit scored 23 runs on 11 balls.

8. Rishabh Pant saved due to taking DRS In the 16th over, Rishabh Pant was given caught behind on Shakib’s ball. Pant immediately took the review, replays showed that the ball did not touch Pant’s bat. The field umpire changed his decision and Pant remained not out. Pant again got out after scoring only 9 runs.

9. Kohli saved from being run out, got angry at Pant Virat Kohli avoided being run out in the 19th over. After getting an inside edge on the very first ball against Khaled Ahmed, Virat came forward to run. Pant also started taking runs at the non-striker end, but he stopped midway. Meanwhile, Khaled picked up the ball and threw it towards the stumps.

Khaled’s throw did not hit the stumps and Kohli returned to his crease. He again got angry at Pant, but Rishabh hugged Kohli and apologized.

10. Liton gave life to Kohli In the 25th over, Virat went ahead and hit a six against Taijul Islam. He got life on the very next ball. He went forward to play a shot on the next ball too, but the ball went into the hands of wicketkeeper Liton Das. However, he could not stump and Kohli survived.

11. Akash Deep hit 2 sixes with Kohli’s bat. After India’s 7th wicket fell, Akash Deep came to bat. He had played without a sponsor bat in the last match, but in Kanpur he came out to bat with a bat sponsored by Kohli’s MRF. He could not hit a six on the first ball against Shakib, but he hit 2 sixes on the next 2 balls. He scored 12 runs on 5 balls.
