Consignment of charas recovered from a young man hailing from Banda district of Uttar Pradesh while checking a Volvo bus by the police in Kullu.
In Kullu on Thursday, the police arrested a young man with 6 and a half kilos of charas. It is being told that this young man from Uttar Pradesh was traveling in a Volvo bus with a consignment of drugs. During the search of the bus at the police check post was caught. The police have started further investigation by registering a case against the accused, from where he had brought the drug and where to take it. Also, it will be known whether he has done this before also.
The accused has been identified as 20-year-old Khushbind son Ramkumar, a resident of Manipur Khurd in Banda district of Uttar Pradesh. In this regard, Kullu Superintendent of Police Gaurav Singh said that the police were checking vehicles at Bajaura check post. Meanwhile, the passengers of a Volvo bus coming from Bhuntar were also searched. 6 kg 528 grams of charas was recovered from Khushbind aboard the bus.
The police immediately arrested the young man. Investigation has been started against him by registering a criminal case under Section 20 of the NDPS Act. It is being ascertained from where the young man had brought this consignment of Charas and where he was taking it.
