Lakhimpur Kheri Deputy Agriculture Director and District Agriculture Officer reached Nighasan on Friday. He oversaw seed distribution and social audit and e-KYC works of Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi with local employees. A shop was sealed after irregularities were found in the inspection.
The shop owner could not show the records
Deputy Agriculture Director Dr. Yogesh Pratap Singh and District Agriculture Officer Arvind Chaudhary inspected Gupta Fertilizer located at Kaulhari intersection of Tikunia. During the inspection, irregularities were found at Gupta Fertilizer’s shop. When he saw the urea coming down from the trolley at the shop, the officials asked for the bill and record for examination. Owner Premchandra Agrawal neither presented the bill nor showed any records.
At the same time, 360 bags of urea, 66 bags of organic potash, 76 bags of single super phosphate granulated, 2 bags of powder were found in the shop. The shop was sealed due to non-presentation of bills and records. Also a show cause notice has been issued to Premchandra Agarwal.
The authorities have sealed the shop with immediate effect.
District Agriculture Officer Arvind Chaudhary said that such action will continue from time to time. Black marketing of fertilizers will not be tolerated at any cost. Strict action will be taken if found guilty. Due to the raid, there was a stir among the fertilizer sellers.
