Jammu and Kashmir police said that Hidayatullah Malik is a resident of Shopian. He was arrested after a joint operation by the Jammu and Anantnag police.
On Saturday, security forces caught Lashkar-e-Mustafa terrorist alive in Kunjwani, Jammu. It is an association of Jaish-e-Mohammed in Kashmir. The terrorist has been identified as Hidayatullah Malik.
Pistol and grenade recovered
Jammu and Kashmir police said that Jammu and Anantnag police conducted a joint operation after special input. During this, the terrorist also fired on the police party. After retaliation, he was successful in arresting him. Jammu SSP Sridhar Patil said that a pistol and a grenade have been recovered from Malik.
Terrorist attack in Champora
On the other hand, terrorists targeted the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in Champora area of Srinagar. During this time, a young man is reported injured. IG Vijay Kumar of Kashmir Police said that constable Manoj Kumar Yadav was injured in the firing. The terrorists have not been identified. Search operation is being carried out after siege of the area.
221 terrorists killed last year
Earlier on February 2, the government had told Parliament that 221 terrorists were killed in Jammu and Kashmir last year. Earlier in 2019, security forces piled 157 and in 2018 257 terrorists. This figure is the highest in the last 3 years.
