Antyodaya Anna Yojana in Ghazipur and ration cards issued in rural and urban areas of eligible households will be checked. For this a team has been formed in the village. It also has Panchayat Secretary and Lekhpal. It is being told that many ineligible people are taking benefit of these schemes, hence action is being taken.
In all urban areas/gram panchayats, eligible household and Antyodaya ration cards will be issued according to the 2011 census, 64.43 percent in urban areas and maximum 79.56 percent population in rural areas. It has been found in the investigation that in whose homes any family member is in government job. Even after that they are reaping the benefits.

5783 card holders have surrendered ration card
DSO Kumar Nirmalendu said that so far 5783 card holders have surrendered their ration cards in the district due to fear of recovery. All the Gram Secretaries have been directed by the District Magistrate Ghazipur that every secretary will do the verification of two Gram Panchayats and the Lekhpal verification of the remaining Gram Panchayats within 10 days in the office of the District Supply Officer Ghazipur with the recommendation and certificate of his higher officers. Send it, it will be reviewed again after 10 days. Action will be taken against the employees whose work is not satisfactory. By May 30, 2022, legal action will be taken against the card holders who are taking benefits while being ineligible.
