Today is the last date to apply for the recruitment of 218 posts of Assistant Statistical Officer (ASO) in the Department of Economics and Statistics. Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) has released the notification and started the online application process from 1st December.
Out of 218 posts, there are 203 for Non TSP (Tribal Sub Plan) and 15 for TSP. General, SC, ST, OBC, EWS and MBC category will get reservation for all the posts as per rules. The Commission has fixed the age limit for these posts from 18 to 40 years. Age relaxation is also given to reserved category candidates as per rules.
The commission will complete the selection process through competitive examination. The venue and month of examination will be released in due course. All questions in the exam will be objective. Information related to online or offline examination will be given by the commission from time to time.
The detailed syllabus of the examination will be released soon on the website of the Commission. Candidates will be able to apply till 12:00 PM on 20th December. Candidates can visit the Commission’s website to know about the examination fee, educational qualification, experience and other conditions.
350 rupees for the applicant of general (unreserved) category and other backward class / most backward class applicant of creamy layer category of Rajasthan
250 rupees for the applicant of non-creamy layer category of OBC / OBC and Economically Weaker Section (EWS) of Rajasthan.
Rs.150 for applicants of Disabled, Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe category of Rajasthan and whose family income is less than 250 lakhs
150 rupees for the applicants of Scheduled Castes / Scheduled Tribes of TSP area and Saharia tribals of all tehsils of Baran district.
There will be 100 questions according to the syllabus. Part A will have 30 questions from General Knowledge and Part B will have 70 questions from Statistics, Maths and Economics. These will carry 100 marks and you will get two hours to solve them.

Before filling the online application form, it is necessary to study the instructions for applicants, detailed advertisement and related service rules regarding filling the online application form available on the website of the commission https://rpsc.rajasthan.gov.in After that, candidates should apply online only.
To apply online, candidates have to click on Apply online link available on Commission’s online portal https://rpsc.rajasthan.gov.in or SSO portal https://sso.rajasthan.gov.in. By logging in and selecting the Recruitment Portal available in Citizen Apps (G2C).
The candidate can also apply online for the examination by doing Aadhar based One Time Registration (OTR) on the Recruitment Portal.
After filling the online application form for the examination, the candidates will have to generate the application number (Application LD) by paying the examination fee from the payment facility available on the recruitment portal.
Candidates should not use any other portal or facility for depositing the examination fee.
No fee will be refunded to the candidates in the facilities for depositing the said examination fee.
The candidate should make sure to pay the examination fee before the last date of application, so that the pending verification of any payment related transaction can be done in time, otherwise it will be the responsibility of the candidate himself.
All educational qualification / experience documents acquired before the last date of application should be uploaded at the time of application, otherwise later will not be accepted. Only educational qualification/experience acquired after applying will be considered later.
After applying online, the applicant will necessarily get the application form number and if the application number (Application 1.D.) is not marked or received, it means that his application form has not been submitted. Preview of the application form will not be considered as application submission.
