The District Bar Association has expressed anger over the daring incident of murder of senior advocate Kanishka Malhotra in his house in Hardoi. The lawyers have given a memorandum addressed to the Governor to the Auraiya DM and demanded immediate arrest of the accused.

The lawyers raised slogans against this incident and abstained from judicial work and demanded strict action against the killers. Apart from DVA President Sanjeev Kumar Chaturvedi, General Secretary Shailesh Kumar Chaturvedi, Shivam Sharma, Kuldeep Dubey (Sheepu Shukla Upendra Kumar), etc., a delegation of lawyers went to Kakor headquarters and submitted a memorandum to the District Magistrate.
The lawyers condemned this murder in a memorandum addressed to the Governor and demanded immediate arrest of the murderers and compensation to the victim advocate’s family. The association has demanded immediate implementation of the Advocate Protection Act. On this occasion, DVA President Sanjeev Chaturvedi, General Secretary Shailesh Chaturvedi and Media Incharge Shivam Sharma along with others were present.
