For the next two days, the power crisis may increase again in the state.
Power crisis may increase in the state for the next two days. Once again production has started decreasing. However, this time the reason is not coal but technical fault. Four units have produced less than capacity. Experts say that if all the four are combined, then about 900 MW of electricity generation will be affected. With this, about 7 lakh consumers can be given electricity. In this regard, Chairman M Devraj has ordered the officials at the local level to be alert.
power cut at night
Sources in the department say that due to low availability of electricity, there will be power cut at night. At present, the demand for electricity in the state has crossed 25,000 MW. Except in rural areas, most of the sectors are getting adequate power supply. But the reduction in production can once again affect the system. Earlier, due to lack of coal, electricity was being cut in the village for 8 hours. Even the cities were getting cut.
Can’t buy electricity from exchange
The problem for UP is that it cannot buy electricity even from the power exchange. Actually, Power Corporation has fixed a ceiling of Rs 7 for itself. That is, in no case will electricity be purchased more expensive than Rs 7 per unit on the exchange. Whereas at present electricity is available up to Rs 12 per unit there. In such a situation, due to expensive electricity, this problem is coming. Power Corporation is already facing huge losses.
These units closed
Unchahar, Roja and Singrauli have reduced production. In this, 116 MW from Unchahar, 279 MW and 660 MW of Singrauli and 300 MW of Roza have been affected.
