- No proposal received from Reliance Industries Ltd. by tweeting by media agency
There has been controversy over the proposal to make Nita Ambani a visiting professor at BHU. On Wednesday, BHU issued a letter stating that no official decision has been taken by the university administration to appoint Nita Ambani as a visiting professor in any faculty / department / center of the university or give any responsibility for teaching. An administrative order has been issued.
Information given by tweet by media agency
By tweeting by the agency, a spokesperson for Reliance Industries Limited informed that the news was false. No offers have been received. The same was sent by Prof. Kaushal Kishore Mishra, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, who was sent the letter there. He has been given to the Vice Chancellor. The rest cannot say anything on any issue.
What was the whole matter
The letter was sent to Neeta Ambani on March 12 for a proposal to make her a visiting professor at the Center for Women’s Studies and Development under BHU’s Faculty of Social Sciences. Which was opposed by the students. After the VC’s assurance that Nita Ambani is not being made a visiting professor, the students’ protest ended yesterday. The sending of the proposal to the media by Dean Pro Kaushal Kishore Mishra was confirmed by the statement.
Letters written in a letter issued by BHU
No official decision has been taken by the university administration nor any such administrative order has been taken to appoint Nita Ambani as the visiting professor in the university or give any responsibility of teaching. The appointment of a visiting professor at Kashi Hindu University requires the approval of the Academic Council. In this case neither such approval has been given nor any such proposal has been submitted before the learned council for consideration.
