The Customs team on Thursday recovered 2.86 kg of gold from a female smuggler at the Chaudhary Charan Singh Airport (Amausi) in the capital Lucknow. Whose price in the international market is 1 crore 39 lakh 64 thousand 120 rupees. The accused woman is from Bengal. The special thing is that this is the first ever case of seizure of gold from a woman smuggler at any airport. Deputy Commissioner Airport Niharika Lakha said that the woman has been arrested and sent to jail.

Deputy Commissioner Custom Niharika Lakha said that the accused woman had reached Lucknow on 6E 8457 of Flight IndiGo coming from Dubai. The woman was stopped when she was suspicious of her body language. He did not give the correct information. On checking the passport, it was found that the woman went from Dubai to Bengal and from Bengal to Lucknow Airport. When asked the reason for coming to Lucknow, she started arguing. He said that I have come from my work like this. Asked whom to meet, where to go? So she could not give information. Which doubted and deepened.
When the women were checked by the personnel of the Customs Department, the woman kept the gold in the shape of a belt in the under garments, hidden in the waist. After which the team of Customs Department has seized the gold and arrested the woman. Information is being made about their other associates and smugglers.
