One case is of defamation of Javed Akhtar
Actually, one of the 3 cases filed against Kangana and Rangoli is defamation of Javed Akhtar. On Monday, the Andheri Metropolitan Magistrate Court of Mumbai issued a bailable warrant against Kangana in this case. This warrant was issued because Kangana is not appearing in the police station despite repeated calls. The court has now given Kangana time till March 22 to appear before the police.
Javed Akhtar filed a complaint against Kangana in November 2020. Javed Akhtar alleges that Kangana dragged his name into Bollywood factionalism after the death of Sushant Singh Rajput. Also, the allegations made in Hrithik Roshan’s case have tarnished his (Javed Akhtar) image.
In December 2020, the Andheri Metropolitan Magistrate Court had asked the Juhu police to investigate Javed Akhtar’s complaint. After this, the police gave the report to the court on 1 February 2020. It said that the allegations of the complainant (Javed Akhtar) needed further investigation.
Two other cases include one of sedition case by lawyer Ali Kashif Khan Deshmukh and the other was filed by casting director and fitness trainer Sahil Ashraf Ali Syed. Both had filed these cases regarding Kangana and Rangoli’s social media comments.
