Two women from Madhya Pradesh’s Rewa distruct were almost buried alive on Sunday after goons threw gravel on them from a dumper with the intention of killing them . The incident occurred due to a land dispute and the police has ruled out the angle of casteism from the case.
Speaking on the incident, ADG Law and Order Shri Jaideep Prasad said, “On Saturday in a family land dispute in Hinota Kothar village of Mangawan police station in Rewa district, gravel fell on two women Asha Pandey and Mamta Pandey. This family is the Pandey family, there was no Dalit woman / man in it.”

Following the dispute, one woman got buried in the ground up to her neck and the other up to her waist. Upon receiving the information about the incident, families of both the women rushed to the spot and pulled them out with the help of a shovel.
The condition of both the women continues to remain critical.
