The film 'Dil Se' is one of the most famous films of director Mani Ratnam. In this, Shahrukh Khan, Manisha Koirala and Preity Zinta were seen in lead roles. Preity Zinta made her Bollywood debut with this film. Recently, he shared an anecdote related to the film by sharing a post on Instagram. She revealed that Mani Ratnam had asked her to wash her face and remove all her makeup before taking close-up shots.

While sharing the photo of the same close-up shot on Instagram, Preeti narrated an interesting story from the film. He wrote- This picture was taken on the first day on the sets of Dil Se. I was very excited to work with Mani Ratnam sir and Shahrukh Khan. When Mani sir saw me he smiled and lovingly asked me to wash his face…. I said smilingly to Sir… My makeup will come off. He said this is exactly what I want. Please wash your face.

The actress wrote- I thought he was joking but later realized that he was serious.

He thanked his photographer Santosh Shivam. This picture is after washing my face. I think he clicked this photo with a lot of heart.

The director of the film told in an interview with Scroll that he has not watched 'Dil Se' after its release. He said- I have not seen the film in 25 years, so I don't know how it was made. I have watched some parts of the film on mute.

'Dil Se' was released 25 years ago

The film Dil Se was released on 21 August 1998. It depicts a unique story of terrorism and love. The film has completed 25 years. In this, Sanjay Mishra and Manisha Koirala played the role of a terrorist. Shahrukh played the role of RJ Amar Kant Verma of All India Radio in the film.
