Efforts have begun to save people, especially children, from the third wave of corona in Meerut district of Uttar Pradesh. A 70-bed ICU will be ready for children in Meerut. A pediatric ICU of 50 wards will be made in LLRM Medical College, 10 in PL Sharma District Hospital and 10 in Dufferin Women’s District Hospital. According to DMK Balaji, in these PICUs, children will get immediate treatment in the third wave of corona when they are infected.

Oxygen plants will be set up in all hospitals

On May 17, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said in a meeting of officers in Meerut that they should prepare for the third wave of Corona from now. The effect of the CM’s directive is that a proposal has been sent to the government to prepare PICUs for children in different hospitals. Also, preparations have started for setting up oxygen plant in every major hospital.

Kovid Ward in Hastinapur CHC
The number of beds is being increased at every CHC. Kovid ward has started at Hastinapur CHC. MLA Dinesh Khatik launched the ward. Soon all 12 CHCs will be built on Kovid ward. The number of Kovid beds in the medical college has been increased to 500. There is also a preparation to set up an oxygen plant on every CHC.
